Kathryn McKinnonRegistered Veterinary Technician
Kathryn here, I grew up in Edmonton and graduated from the UofA with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology. I always knew I wanted to work with animals but was not certain which field I should follow. I moved to Europe for 2 years to get experience of the world and when I came back I went into the NAIT Animal Health Technology program. I graduated in 2017 and have been working as an RVT since. I love working with clients and their ‘4 footed friends’ every day and brining a smile to people’s faces. I have started to develop an interest in healthy weight management and dental care as I’ve been working in small animal clinics. Since coming to Whitemud Crossing I have adopted a ‘large horse’ aka Gimli, my Pyrenees x Akita beast who was just 5 months old when he came into our life. In my spare time I like to read and sing or go backpacking in the mountains with my husband.

of veterinary medicine and can not wait to expand her knowledge. In her free time,
she loves to cuddle with her cat Schrodinger, while hanging out with friends & family.
When she’s not with her cat, you can probably find her at the rink coaching figure
skating and talking more about her cat
