About Us

About Us

At Whitemud Crossing Animal Hospital, we treat your pets like the valued family members they are.

Our mission is to come to work everyday to care for pets as though they were our own and deliver the standard of care to clients that we would hope to receive ourselves. Animals are capable of providing our families with a wonderful and unique form of companionship. At Whitemud Crossing, we are all about keeping pets happy and healthy in recognition of the important role they play in our lives. Striving each day to help keep the fundamental values of “family medicine” prevalent in the veterinary profession.

Our “Core Values” help define our hospital and shape the way we deliver veterinary care. They are as follows

Compassion

Compassion is critical when it comes to treating and caring for our patients as the loved family members they are. However, at WCAH we know that showing compassion is just as important when it comes to caring for our pet owners. Whether you’re here for your puppies first vet check or saying goodbye to your beloved senior kitty we are here to support you to the best of our ability.

Teamwork

Operating as a cohesive team towards the goal of exceptional client and patient care is fundamental here at Whitemud Crossing. All of our employees are valued members of the WCAH family and each one plays an integral role in providing excellent care for your pet. As such we aim to support one another and work together everyday.

Integrity

Entrusting us with your pet’s care is a big step and we understand the importance of delivering their care with integrity. This means we strive to make decisions based on what is in the best interest of your pet and your family.

Continued Development

The veterinary profession is always evolving as we continue to learn better ways to deliver high standard veterinary care. As a hospital we strive to do the same, to always be working towards the betterment of our practices and protocols. There’s always room for improvement when it comes to caring for your pets.

Our Facility

Our facility is a fully equipped veterinary hospital certified by the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association.  We believe strongly in the value of preventative medicine which features routine physical exams, lifestyle-based vaccinations, parasite prevention and proactive laboratory screening. As in people, early detection and treatment of disease can improve your pet’s quality of life as well as increase longevity.

We are so excited to meet you and your pets! If you have questions please call (780) 756-5070 or email us.
