Wellness Exams:
Whitemud Crossing Animal Hospital believes that Regular Wellness Exams based on the life stage of your pet is the best way to keep your cherished family member healthy. As in people, early detection and treatment of disease can help improve your pets quality of life as well as increasing longevity. The veterinarian will discuss the frequency of wellness exams based on your pets age and any ongoing medical conditions. Vaccines:
Vaccine recommendations for dogs and cats have changed dramatically in recent years. Vaccine programs are based on current recommendations from industry experts and are based on the diseases common to our area as well as your pets individual lifestyle and risk factors.

Surgery:
The doctors at Whitemud Crossing Animal Hospital perform a variety of elective (spay and neuter), soft tissue and emergency surgery. Maintaining the highest standards of anesthesia safety and instrument sterility are a priority to ensure your pet receives the best care possible. Dentistry:
Regular dental care is an important part of maintaining your pets overall health. Untreated dental disease is not only painful for your pet, it can contribute to other health problems such as bacterial endocarditis (infection of the heart valves) and pyelonephritis (kidney infection). Digital Radiology:
Whitemud Crossing Animal Hospital's on site radiology provides the doctors with immediate information that is needed in emergency situations. Radiology referrals to board certified Veterinary Radiologists are also available.

In house Lab:
Our in house lab provides fast, accurate results the same day allowing the doctors to make informed decisions quickly regarding the health and treatment plan for your pet. Complete blood cell counts, blood chemistry panels, Thyroxine or T4 levels, parvo testing, feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus testing, urinalysis, skin scrapings and ringworm cultures are all available on site. Specialized blood tests, culture and sensitivity and histology (tissue samples and biopsies) are referred to specialized labs providing full laboratory services for our hospital.

Pharmacy:
Whitemud crossing Animal Hospital has a fully stocked pharmacy for the convenience of our clients. We believe purchasing medications at your veterinarians office offers more personalized service and is also an important way to keep the doctors and staff updated about your pets current condition and health. Discussing your concerns and questions during prescription refills keeps us informed and able to make suggestions or changes in medications at the first sign of problems.

Referral Services:
The doctors at Whitemud Crossing Animal Hospital are happy to offer referrals to specialists in the fields of surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, oncology (cancer treatment), internal medicine, intensive and critical care and rehabilitation medicine.

End of Life Care:
Here at Whitemud Crossing Animal Hospital we understand how incredibly difficult it can be to make the decision to say goodbye to your beloved pet. We offer compassionate euthanasia services to help ease the pain of parting with your furry friend.  

Prescription Foods and Wellness Diets:
We understand the significant role that nutrition plays in your pet's health. That's why we are dedicated to helping you find a diet that suits there specific needs. Whether it be food to help manage a chronic condition or a diet that will suit their age and lifestyle we will help you find a product that will work right for your pet.
