At work Cassidy loves interacting with animals every day and meeting others who share her love for furry critters. As our Business Development Manager, Cassidy is also always looking for ways to better our practice and the standard of care we deliver to patients. Outside of work she keeps busy outdoors trying to keep up with her golden retriever Paisley who is always ready for the next adventure.
Kathryn McKinnon, BSc, RVTTechnical Support Manager / Registered Veterinary Technician
Kathryn grew up in Edmonton and graduated from the UofA with a BSc in Animal Biology in 2011. She then spent 2 years living in Europe and enjoying her passion for traveling while working abroad. After moving back to Edmonton she followed her passion for animal health and completed the Animal Health Technology program at NAIT in 2017. Since working as an RVT in small animal clinics, her interests have started to focus on dental care and nutrition to help provide the best wellness care she can for all pets coming through the clinic. If she’s not working with the patients you’ll find Kathryn taking care of all the equipment and IT functions in the clinic. Growing up around computer savvy family members she has learned her way around all things technology and has naturally started to manage that side of the clinic. When not at work you’ll find Kathryn spending time with her partner and growing family. She has a young son at home and since starting at Whitemud Crossing has added a mixed breed rescue pup, Balin, and a special rescue cat with prosthetic legs, Legolas, to the family. She loves to go backpacking in the mountains with her family, singing at the top of her lungs and reading at home

Missy ,DSHGoodwill Ambassador
Missy joined our team after struggling to find her fur-ever home as a rescue kitten over 7 years ago. She has since become an integral part of our hospital with her quirky feline personality. Missy is always willing to clean up treats left behind from patients and loves to assist in folding freshly dried towels. As a hyperthyroid cat with kidney disease she personally ensures our team is delivering a high standard of care to cats with those conditions. Missy keeps our team smiling throughout the day and reminds us to take a minute to enjoy the simple things, such as a cardboard box in the sunshine.
